Group Work

In this project, students will work in groups to:

• select a client;
• use a specified scale to draw a floor plan that meets the client’s specifications;
• draw another floor plan using a different scale; and
• answer a series of questions related to hiring professionals and purchasing materials to build the home.
   

Materials Needed

Each student will need:  

• 2 sheets of ¼-inch graph paper and a ruler or straight edge; and
• 1 copy of the Village Creek worksheet.

​Students will access the client specifications online.  The worksheets are not client-specific.

Final Report

Individually, students will:

• design another home to a given scale, and then reproduce the design to a different scale; and
• answer a series of questions related to hiring professionals and purchasing materials to build the home.
   

Materials Needed

Each student will need 2 sheets of  graph paper and a ruler or straight edge. Except for the scale drawings, all work will be completed online.
